Contrary to popular opinion, the Bible doesn’t say that money is the root of all evil. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 6 verse 10: “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil”.

Money is actually something that can be used for great good, (remember "Live Aid"?). This is why the Bible encourages us to be responsible with our money and possessions and share them with others less fortunate than ourselves.

In Matthew 6, Jesus tells us not to worry about money and possessions, but to trust God to provide what we need. Above all, God does not want us to love money more than we love Him, the Bible says ‘No one can serve two masters. He will love one and hate the other. You cannot serve both God and money." (Matthew 6:24).
