Heading: Who's Who.

Below you will find info on some of the ‘familiar faces’ on the Hope House team and other key people that work faithfully in our Church, either as paid staff or voluntarily. It is important to stress that the folk below are no more important in the Church than the many, many other people in the Church that give freely of their time working in all different areas of Church life. Every member of our Church is important to God, from the smallest baby to the oldest adult, it’s just that some of the people below are those that you are most likely to meet at Hope House, and others are involved in the decision-making and administration of the Church.

Heading; Elders

Tony Goodman (right) is the overall leader of the Church and heads up other teams as the leader of leaders. Tony decides [in agreement with other elders] the future teaching programme, co-ordinates the vision and direction of the Church and trains new leaders. John Bament is the Elder responsible for looking after people in the Church, including members abroad. John is also a Trustee, he oversees Church finance and legal matters and ensures that there is good communication between the Elders and Trustees.

Jon Nickson (left) is the Church Leader responsible for cell groups (homegroups). His job involves training and working with cell coaches (who oversee cells) and cell leaders to ensure that the cell groups in the Church are functioning well. Jason Evans oversees the youth and children’s work in the Church. He also goes into local schools to take assemblies and sometimes lessons, and liaises with other local agencies involved with youth and children. In addition, Jason is in charge of the worship groups. (The worship groups are the bands that lead the worship times on a Sunday morning).

Heading: Women's Leadership Team.

In The Family Church we have a women’s leadership team. The ladies on the team come from all different circumstances and walks of life. The team meets regularly with the Elders, and takes part in the discussions that lead to overall decisions being made in and for the Church. The team is 'ever-changing' in that different women serve on the team for a period of time. Alison, (pictured on the far right) is also a familiar face at Hope House; she works full-time in the Church office.
