The Family Church runs many activities for children , both during the week, and on Sundays. Our motivation for working with children is to show them something of God’s love, and we teach Christian values openly, so that children can explore the Christian faith. Our aim is to provide fun, safe and friendly groups and activities. Outlined below are the activities and events which we run for children in the church - all children are very welcome, whether they come to Church or not.

The Family Church takes the safety of children and young people very seriously. In order to protect children or young people attending Church activities, we have a Child Protection Policy in place, which we rigorously enforce. Anyone working with children or young people is required to have a CRB Disclosure (Police check), and is expected to attend child protection training sessions. Close-up pictures of children on this website are stock photos, and not of children in the Church.

During the main Sunday morning service, the children stay in for the first half an hour, then go out at 11 a.m. to their groups as follows:
Acorns: (0’s to 3’s)
A comfortable room is used behind the main hall for the under threes. They are looked after
|
by a small number of parents and helpers each week, under a responsible leader.
Bubbles: (3’s to 5’s)
Quality time is spent with these children. Stories, music and art and craft are used to provide an interesting and fun morning.
Splash: (Years 1,2)
A creative morning of exploring the Bible using a whole range of fast moving activities, appeals to both boys and girls.
Xstream: (Years 3 - 6)
This age group enjoys group work, so we unpack themes from the Bible using drama, role play, video and discussion.
