The Family Church Christchurch has many activities going on throughout the week for all different age groups…just click on the different activities on the 'Church Life' above, or on the links at the top left to find out more, and don’t forget to check out the community pages, where you can find out about activities we run for people in the wider Christchurch community.
Our main meeting is on a Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. at The Regent Centre,Christchurch, (map). We spend the first part of the meeting worshipping God. This is led by a worship leader and band, and is usually very lively! People are encouraged to join in by maybe praying aloud, or reading something from the Bible, or telling everyone something that they feel God is saying to us.
The children and youth then go out for their activities, and the adults often continue to worship for a bit longer before ‘the preacher’ speaks to us. The Family Church is blessed with a lot of gifted speakers, who all have very different styles of speaking, so ‘the sermon’ is very varied and can include drama, music, and even computer presentations/films.
From time to time, we have youth services, when our young people run the main service, and the children often bring a presentation at Christmas. During the school summer holidays, we have shorter ‘all-age’ family services.
