The Family Church has a lot of exciting stuff going on for teenagers, both midweek (during school term time), and on a Sunday. Our aim is to provide fun and safe groups where teenagers can relax, make friends, and enjoy themselves. As Christians, we believe that the Bible gives us good instructions for dealing with life, and all that life throws at us. We teach Christian values openly, because we really believe that God helps young people through their teenage years ready for their lives ahead.		The Family Church takes the safety of children and young people very seriously. In order to protect children or young people attending church activities, we have a Child Protection Policy in place, which we rigorously enforce. Anyone working with children or young people is required to have a CRB Disclosure (Police check), and is expected to attend child protection training sessions. Close-up pictures of children on this website are stock photos, and not of children in the Church.
The Edge (Years 7,8,9) A fast moving morning of how the Bible applies to our lives. Young people are encouraged to lead and direct the group.

Heading: Rock Solid

This is a great place to chill out with friends, with a varied programme of activities, there’s loads of things to do e.g. meals, barbeques, bowling ‘chill nights’….the list is endless! Rock Solid is for Year Groups 7- 9, The Somerford Community Centre Fridays
7.45 p.m.-9.15 p.m., cost £1.

We now have three youth homegroups. They meet to find out more about what God says in the Bible, and to apply it to their lives. They also have a time to worship God and pray. These groups meets together at other times to do a lot of fun stuff. See their pictures on the youth gallery.

Heading: Trips Away.

We have two trips that run on a yearly basis. In Autumnl we take the young people on an adventure weekend away. This is great for building friendships and providing wonderful memories. In the summer we go camping for a week at a Christian music festival. Both these trips have proved extremely popular and young people have commented that they have been the highlight of their year.The trips are reasonably priced and financial help can be given to enable young people to go.
