Alpha gives you the chance to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed non-threatening atmosphere over a number of weeks. Many different Christian churches run Alpha worldwide including Church of England, Catholic, Baptist and Independent churches. More than two million people have completed the course in churches, homes, schools, universities and even prisons. In the Family Church Christchurch we run Alpha in people's homes. We start the evening off sharing puddings, (having already eaten our main meal at our own home). This gives everyone a chance to socialise and get to know each other a bit more and to try out numerous different puddings!. We then watch a short video on one of the Alpha topics, and we finish the evening by discussing that topic, asking questions and sharing our opinions.
